The Role of Micro Crampons

Many of the walks featured in ICEGRIPPER’s guidebooks require Micro Crampons, especially during early-season (May & June) and late-season (October). These lightweight traction devices offer stability on icy paths, ensuring a safer and more enjoyable trekking experience.  Tour du Mont Blanc – THE classic trek with varied high altitude terrain, this walk attracts visitors from around the globe. As you might have seen from our social posts, there are sections of snow and ice cover, even as this post is being written approaching Mid June. This trek is the Daddy and deserves the OG micro crampon, so we'd recommend: Kahtoola MICROspikes

 Tour of Monte Rosa – Features some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in the Alps, including 7 of the 10 highest Alpine peaks. Early-season conditions can be challenging and with 2 Glacier Crossings opt for: Kahtoola KTS Crampons to handle icy sections.
