Un guide de randonnée pour le Karnischer Höhenweg, ou Sentier de la Paix carnique. Ce sentier de refuge en refuge de 170 km suit la ligne de front de la Première Guerre mondiale à travers les Alpes carniques, le long de la frontière entre l’Autriche et l’Italie, et est riche en intérêt historique, géologique et culturel. Il peut être parcouru en 1 à 2 semaines et convient aux randonneurs ayant un niveau de forme physique raisonnable, le sens de l’aventure et le vertige, le point culminant du sentier étant le Pfannspitze à 2 678 mètres.
Le guide couvre à la fois la variante autrichienne, présentée en 8 étapes journalières, et la variante italienne, présentée sur 10 jours, avec des étapes allant de 6 à 28 km. Des détours facultatifs pour gravir les sommets voisins, comme le Monte Coglians, sont également inclus.
