Ice Grip Hoof Boots for my Horse - ICEGRIPPER CUSTOMER STORY

This is an ICEGRIPPER CUSTOMER STORY, which made us sit up!  We've had some unique conversations with customers regarding their unusual application of our products - but using them to stop your horse slipping...!?!? Here's David's ICEGRIPPER CUSTOMER STORY

"Hello, The iciest days to date have seen SO many local car crashes where cost-cutting (Sheffield) Council tried to save money, it was simply too dangerous to venture onto the roads. Even the gritting lorry turned upside down, hell to play round here, and big news.

After receiving the ICESPIKE, I ordered, I have screwed one into a hoof boot where one of the original tungsten studs had come out, and can confidently assert it was easy to fix into place, but as yet unsure whether will stand up to wear. Was far simpler to fix than the tungsten studs, too, the hoof boot manufacturers should take note!

I feel they're likely to be very good for human shoes, but may be that the sheer weight of a horse will force the grips back up into the hoof boot soles. I've put an EVA Comfort Pad innersole inside, against such eventuality. Probably needs plenty of ICESPIKE's around the circumference of the boot to spread the load. See what happens...?!"

Six of them fitted in each front hoof boot, and the horse has been across both ice and frost successfully this past week. She still has four tungsten studs in each hind hoof boot. Obviously I don't hurry her, but she feels confident on them, and any slipping has been minimal.

The ICESPIKE's clearly aren't going to last as long as the tungsten-tipped studs which are purpose-sold for this, but the ice spikes were MUCH easier to fit into the hoof boots, and have all stayed in place thus far, whereas we've lost various of the tungsten studs and they were more expensive to buy than ICESPIKE...

So yes, very pleased so far!
